May Forum Marketing Really Be Rewarding?

By Theressa Rieg

If we are sending zero cost traffic to our sites, we may possibly feel that this has been worth our time and yet this may not often be true based on the actual benefits achieved. Forum marketing is something which usually illustrates this point as it is highly recommended as a traffic method to get more visitors. The very fact that you are concentrating on an audience in your market sector with this method means that you may have consumers in a position to invest in any answers they are searching for. It is imperative that you control the hours it will take to search through a forum and any posts you decide to make. We will now explore forums and how to get moving on them.

In terms of finding a forum in your market, the first step is fairly easy in doing a search of your marketplace with the addition of the word forum. If you see lots of results, this is a good sign and then it is a matter of going inside of some of these to see what kind of activity there is. There will often be some sort of member count exhibited and you should also be able to see how many times posts are being made. To make this worthwhile, you would certainly expect to see daily activity in terms of posts for the different topics. How you then get yet another member to see your website details is something to look at in the conditions for signing up for the forum. This will often to be in the form of what is often known as a signature and we will go over that further shortly.

The enrolling process, once you have chosen a forum, gives you the choice of constructing a user profile. This is your opportunity to present your skill sets and to feature your website url. A forum might have its own rule as to when you might have your forum signature in a post and this is something you will really want to do when allowed. This signature is effectively a link back to your website in the form of a call to action or some other kind of incentive. The strategies used to do this can easily be seen if you spend a little time looking at other people's posts on virtually any forum.

You will sometimes hear marketers say that this is a fast way to make some money but in some ways it is much more effective as a long term strategy. In the beginning, when you join a forum you have to build trust and this is generally done by adding value or giving answers to questions. Clearly, you can make an effort to respond to posts where your forum signature is on the exact same topic and involve yourself precisely where there are many other posts on a particular theme. A good reputation and someone who is seen as making contributions is how you want to be looked at and will result in people reading through your posts.

The method by which you relate to other members, as well as keeping an eye on how long you put in there, can result in targeted traffic from forums.
