How to Convince More People to Give Your Facebook Page a Like

By James Steele

Facebook is going to be in existence for a very long time. We thought it might be a fad but it turns out that it has real staying power. It's been quite a while since internet marketers have been in a rush to build their pages and create their accounts on Facebook. Luckily, it seems the network doesn't have space issues.

Make prodigious use of Facebook's "share" button. Every so often, put up an image or some type of content on your fan page and blast it out to your fans. Encourage them to send out your uploads to their own network. This way you will be able to get your page in front of new people who might like it. Think of what would happen if people enjoyed your content so much that they shared it repeatedly. A single piece of content can create positive effects for you for months. Add an "@ tag" to every post you make, no matter whose profile it's on. Your fan page will be seen by everyone who sees your message when you add the "@ tag" and the name of your fan page. You will be making a nice contribution to your friends' walls while still making sure your page gets some exposure and new people see it. This is a tactic that shouldn't be overdone, though. Your friends might feel used by you if you do it too often and certainly won't feel like they are your friends.

Insert a link to your Facebook fan page on all your personal profiles. Make sure that it is listed on profiles for forums, professional sites and even personal message services.

Include a link to your Facebook fan page on any site that lets you build a profile. Every once in a while you need to make informative posts if you want to be a productive member of the community which is the only way to get more "likes" from people.

Put a link to your Facebook fan page on every personal profile you have. Make sure that it is listed on profiles for forums, professional sites and even personal message services.

Now it is used by individuals as well as businesses and major corporations. In other words, you have to be there as well. Promoting your fan page on Facebook can be done in many ways. Some things are more creative than others. The amount of creativity you bring into your promotions is the only limitation you have when it comes to increasing your Facebook fan base. The sky is the limit!
