Make Sure You Buy Non Toxic Products

You have to think of personal care products for you and your family as well as those items you use in the home. This includes shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste and conditioner as well as household items like soaps and detergents. Pets are also important and one needs to buy certain items for them which also need to be approved so keep that in mind as well. More and more people in this day and age see the need to buy non toxic products in the home.

You can start off by avoiding all scented products. These are not only found in perfumes and after shaves, but you will find them in just about every product out there and these include different kinds of soaps and detergents. They may seem sweet smelling, but they have nasty consequences.

If you are a keen gardener, then use your gardening products wisely. There are organic fertilizers and pesticides that you can use. You may find that they are not as effective, but if you use the usual ones one the market, you will be killing earthworms and you could even be harming your cat.

Use a shower filter and try not to swim where chlorine has been used. When it comes to drinking water, you have to make sure the source is from the right place. Preferably, it should be bought water, unless you are in a safe enough area.

You can grow your own vegetables and even farm your own fish. This is not difficult to do and you will really start to see the rewards, especially when the grocery bill reduces every month. Find out about aquaponics and how that works.

Use linen, wool and cotton that are pure. Your T-shirts should be 100% pure cotton and shouldn't read any tracings of polyester. Don't use foam or rubber in the kitchen. Everything should be pure so synthetic rugs and carpets are not what you should be after. You should store food in glass jar and not in plastic.

You need lots of fresh air, so open your windows often, even if you live in New York City where it is really polluted. In fact, research has found that the more toxic air actually comes from inside the home, so this is something to remember. To help with this you can add certain houseplants in the home. This will help you with your problems. Put in something like an Aloe Vera or a spider plant.

There are certain things in your kitchen cupboard that are perfect for keeping your house clean. These items won't cause any problems to you, your family or the environment. You can look for things like white vinegar, baking soda, lemons, vegetable oil and borax to get started.

In conclusion, you really have to be sure about a product before you buy it. It is obvious that should buy non toxic products, but there are still those that advertise falsely, and these are the ones to stay away from. This is important because you have to know this from day one.
