It can be seen in the way in which you play. For example, a tennis player will continue to hit the ball out or they will hit it into the net. This is uncharacteristic. It may look as if they have given up on the match or they simply want to get off the court.

An athlete may be battling to take the next step forward. There are challenges involved in every sport. Often, the individual is stuck in comfort zone, especially when they are more experienced. Trying a new technique is not something that they are comfortable with. However, this is something that will work on along with the psychologist. They begin to believe in themselves during this time as they start to reach their goals, and as they notice the improvements.
