The foundation is being expressed in at least twelve methods or steps to make a person finally quit. When it concerns with leaving aa, individuals must participate the group in order for them to stop their bad habits of drinking alcohol.

For individuals to prepare for the meetings, they must understand the purpose and characters of AA. This group or session will help people who have problems in drinking. They will assist them to stay sober in order to achieve sobriety. This group does not recruit members but instead welcome them to be a part of the group.

Learn the guidelines and rules. Do not be worried about the sessions. The meetings are not being supervised by doctors or religious beliefs. If a person does not want to say something, then respect it. They will respect everyone wishes and demands. A person is not incline to say something especially if they feel uncomfortable with it.

When attending the first session, try to find a buddy. If there is someone who can accompany or a person who is close to you and a member of the particular group, tell them to stay close. It is important to feel comfortable especially when its your first time. Participating in the sessions will take courage and perseverance.

Individuals must attend the meeting and arrive an earlier time than required. The event usually takes place when everyone is has already arrived and present. Try to get as near as towards the front to listen their struggles and experiences. Try to be casual and not be too aggressive. Small talk would be kind and appreciated.

Listen attentively and do not share any experience if you are not feeling comfortable. It would be better to listen to others and learn how the meeting will take place. Even though the chairperson will require an individual to participate and share their problems, they are still not obligated to do so.

If the event or assembly is useful to your cause, then attend it again. If the structure is comfortable to a person, they can participate again the next time. It would take some time to be comfortable so do not give up easily. Take the time to feel at ease and share your personal thoughts with everyone.

For individuals who wanted to stop their addiction and alcoholism, they must conduct research first. There are many ways to stop their addiction and preferably AA is the best way. Take the time to do research before finally making a decision.

Price will not be a problem or hindrance when participating in the group. This does not require any finances. However, every member can still contribute a few amount of money to spend for their assembly and other improvements needed. They can also ask for a local contribution from other people.
