Professionally, there are various drives which enable people to push on in their work and as such achieve success. The drives are also existent in the day to day life as they are the values that one has and cannot give up for anything. There may be hardships in their life but having the drives for one is permanent. It is advisable that one then discovers their own early enough to apply them properly. This article details the specific kinds of a career anchor.

The aspect of being technically competent. This mainly entails the people who have a huge drive to succeed by the application of their natural skills. It this represents those individuals who have certain talents from a young age and which they love practicing. The people who have such anchors later develop them to full professions and hence are employed in organizations. Their satisfaction results in their application and use of their abilities at all times.

Managerial competence. Mainly, this aspect deals with the individuals who have great ambitions of being decision makers. They aspire to occupy positions of leadership such that they then are responsible for steering the organizations they are in. They are the people who strive to get past everyone in any job so that they can occupy the position of manager. There are certain skills that are applicable in their quests such as analysis, interpersonal relations, and emotional expertise.

Autonomy. This anchor is important and it relates to the people that feel the need to be independent throughout their life journey. This is important for one to know as it goes beyond what one may be doing but the actual feeling of focusing on oneself. A person who has such alignments feels the need to have their life freed in all aspects. They will, therefore, pursue more of the jobs that accord them freedom as they cannot be bound by organizations or managers.

The competency of desiring for stability. This anchor categorizes mainly the individuals that are desirous of finding stable and secure work placements. Such are always driven towards having proper security such that they can then predict the certainty of their future. Hence, having to reach the positions of security makes them feel successful in any job placement. It is in such a manner that they value proper work plans and loyalties in the work done.

Creativity. This mindset refers to those individuals that lean more towards entrepreneurship in their lives and professions. They feel the huge need to tackle and topple any existing systems by having their own systems established to replace them. They, therefore, measure the success that they have on the amount of revenue that their ventures can generate.

Dedication to a cause. This is another crucial category and mainly consists of the individuals that have a very huge dedication to establishing their values. They therefore largely prescribe to having certain kinds of service values fulfilled. Their work is as such not based much on the talents but how much effect they have on the society.

The desire for getting challenges at work. This category of anchor types mainly encompasses those who love competitions. There are also various individuals that have their orientations and basis on lifestyle.
