Why Internet Marketing Companies Should Pay Attention To Tiktok

By Arthur Williams

Video content is arguably the most popular type of content among younger demographics. This makes sense, as it allows young men and women to stay engaged, increasing the amount of time they consume it. This is especially true for social networking and mobile apps, which bring us to TikTok. Perhaps you've heard of this name in passing, but don't know what it's all about. Here is what you should know about TikTok, courtesy of Internet marketing companies.

TikTok, which was originally released in 2016, is a mobile app that focuses on video content. However, its content is unique in that it's often used with filters and music. Some of the most popular types of content on TikTok include users lip-syncing to songs and acting out sketches. These are just a few of the basics to know about the app in question, but there is far more that names like fishbat.com should know if they plan on leveraging this platform in the future.

Not unlike other mobile apps, TikTok has begun testing ad placements, one such example being GrubHub. This could be solid for influencers, as there have been numerous users that have become popular through the app. Businesses may look at these ad placements and wonder how they can receive the same level of attention. TikTok has an opportunity to work with businesses that are open about using the platform in question.

It should also be noted that the aforementioned GrubHub app took up the full screen of the app. This may not seem like much, on the surface, but consider the user experience. The average TikTok user is not going to want to encounter numerous ads, so it makes sense for them to be as out of the way as possible. When this happens, TikTok users are less likely to mind the ads. In fact, they may be curious to learn more about the products and services being promoted.

It's important to note that ads on TikTok are still in the testing phase, so we probably won't have a solid understanding of what they'll entail until later down the road. Nonetheless, it would make sense for Internet marketing companies across the board to keep tabs on this story. It's difficult to predict how businesses will be able to use TikTok in the future. However, with stories like the one discussed earlier, it's clear that opportunities exist.
