Adding Geometric Beeswax Candles To A Room Gives It Appeal

By George Price

Oftentimes, a person may get sick of looking at the same bland interiors at their home but are clueless as to what they can do. Although hiring a decorator may be a solution but not if money is a concern. There are also those who want to add something unique with a visual appeal but may be at a loss for ideas. The good news is that things like geometric beeswax candles or other functional item serve the purpose with little labor.

Other items that are functional but have visual appeal include area rugs, decorative shelving, and ottomans that act as an organizer. Rugs of any size can protect surfaces from wear but also disguise floor markings or carpet stains that are hard to remove. Areas rugs are great because they come in a variety of colors and patterns but it helps to invest in a quality brand if it will be used often.

The great thing about beeswax is that it can burn for hours without dangerous smoke. A lot of people gave up on paraffin versions because the soot produced contaminated the air. While beeswax is a little more expensive, it is a better choice for the user who likes to burn for a long time, especially in spaces that may lack proper ventilation like the bathroom.

Decorative candles are great because they can be matched to certain accessories or furnishings in a particular room or space. Some people who enjoy decorating may attempt to match the curtains or area rug with a detailed color found in a sofa or loveseat. Although some amateurs may go as far as consulting a color chart, sometimes just going with personal preference is enough.

Although some of these may come in basic or neutral colors, these are great for adding accent pieces. Interior accents may include frames, holders, or if an individual wants to keep things functional, a pillar candle can work. Not only can the flicker of the flame be soothing after a long day, but there are also many colors and patterns that work well in blank looking spaces.

Because many modern candlemakers adhere to certain health standard, the infused scent is more delicate than those found in mass markets. Many use small drops of natural oils, dried flowers or fruit skin to give off a hint of smell. While the aroma may be intense, it may not be best for those who like to burn their candle for hours at a time.

Choosing the right type of candle depends mostly on the space and how it will be used. Pillars or novelty candles usually stand well on their own but tapers are great for intimate meals. Larger candles also have the most decorative details and great for showing off accent colors.

Accent colors work well in neutral or monotone spaces and sometimes it does not take a lot to make a visual impact. Most people may choose a bright or metallic color for candles, frames or other holders that are easily seen. Although some may attempt to match curtains or an area rug, this should be done sparingly, as to avoid a gaudy look.
