Guide In Choosing Magazines For Tween Girls

By Young Lindsay

Being able to read should be a right and with this, knowing what to read and what to get from it is also important. Although it matters that there should be knowledge and also entertainment, but this needs to appropriately match with the reader. Books and other sources have always been giving knowledge to people and this has branched out to different forms already with technology.

Magazines are basically derived from old scripts. The first ones were published in Germany around the 1600s which also in America, it came around about the 1700s. But now they are even categorized further into different focuses of interests, locale, age groups, etc., and this is why magazines for tween girls are one of these types.

Due to the views in society and the problems and issues that most teenagers are facing, it has become difficult for them to acquire the best materials and experiences for their growth. Parents should also be very observant and picky with which materials they are reading. This is in order to provide them with appropriate and timely education and knowledge.

These mags are divided into another sub category which further gives the teenage readers a choice. These can be geared towards Education, Sports, General Interests, and ones that are targeted basically for Boys or Girls. These can be bought at any retail store or bookshops. A lot of them can also be bought online.

Knowing which ones to choose and subscribe would be a bit tricky, since you would need to go over each one of them. As a parent, you can either read one by one and see what is well rounded enough and can provide enough information that is suited for your kids. As a teenager, you would want stuff that would actually interest you all in one magazine.

There are some that can provide all of these and it takes a little bit of looking up on reviews and ratings, as well as recommendations from friends and relatives on which ones are most suited. Again as a parent, you need to look at your own issues and then to the issues of your children. You can use this as basis for the type of mag that you are going to provide your kids.

So, before choosing on what mag to subscribe, test one out and see if you and your kids would like it. Get feedbacks from them. After this, you can test out more and decide on which one fits. Be aware that there are magazines that are targeted for tween girls in general but can be subcategorized further for only those fifteen and above which might not be appropriate for those fourteen and below.

It is already generally known that these kinds of magazines can be unhealthy in terms of perspective of iody image. Especially because tweens can be more susceptible to this kind of marketing. That is why you need to guide them with their reading materials and also provide them with other magazines that can even out their perspective and make it even wider.

All in all, the benefit for this is reading in itself. These ages are the most susceptible to information and experimentation. Guiding them with the right kind of materials would be the determining factor for their growth and upbringing.
