How to Drive Traffic to the Landing Page

By Mark Kreyman

Your landing page is one of the best tools to use to get traffic. But for it to be attractive to targeted traffic, take note of these:

1. Write an awesome title. One of the first things Internet users find is the title of the page. Unless it is something that captures their attention, the page would not be open. Thus, you have to spend time when it comes to crafting your title. Often, experts create 5 to 10 of them, then choose the best one. The title must summarize the entire message of the site without giving too much information.

2. Produce a powerful lead. Go beyond the title and bring your attention to the lead. If this one sounds boring or completely useless, you cannot expect your visitors to follow through until the end. What is the best lead? Start with a question, begin with a personal experience, or present a fact that your leads can relate to.

3. Do not say a lot. These days many are extremely long. There is no problem with it, but if you can say things in few words, then do so. No one wants to read lengthy texts. This does not mean, however, you need to sacrifice quality over brevity. Add photos, videos, or reviews from product testers for credibility.

4. Add some incentives. Almost always marketers add rewards or freebies as in e-books, reports, blogs, or videos. These freebies can help increase traffic because it adds more value to the landing page and subscription process. It also gives potential subscribers a general idea of your business. 5. Create a good landing page design. Though content is more important than design, that does not mean you avoid design altogether. No one still likes to visit a poorly made page, with too many Flash animations and multi-colored texts. Settle for streamlined professional-looking designs with fantastic combinations of colors. Decrease white space in order to increase download speed. Guarantee that the ultimate body of the page is within eye level to avoid taxing scrolling.

6. Include a call to action. After reading everything in your landing page, what do you like the targeted traffic to do: do you want them to call, add their names in their mailing list, or visit your main website? Be specific.
