Positive Thinking is the First Step to Achieving Your Success

By David Ferrers

My first personal development instructer Duncan McColl dinned into me that: "if you don't take personal control of your mind people and events will do it for you". He was right, as usual, but , how can one take command of your intellect? How can you get into a frame of mind where positive thinking is your natural way of thinking?

It's a matter of watching, listening and observing all your thoughts. If you spend the next seven days continually on the lookout, watching, listening and observing everything that you think, feel and do you are going to be be astounded by some of the things that you see, hear and observe about the way you are.

But after you have noted yourself you need to modify each negative into a positive as you go along - click here to see article. This is vital because the point at which positive thinking becomes powerful is when it turns into positive speech and behaviour. It's not just the thinking but what you do with the thinking that creates the state of being positive which in turn leads to personal success.

The simple act of thinking and behaving "as if ' you are positive eventually leads to your actually becoming positive in thought and action and then you are going to be able to achieve success in any field of endeavour to which you turn your hand.

The really useful point about positive thinking is that it's completely yours to control. All you need to do is to make up your mind to be positive, to make the decision that you're going to think positively from this moment on and the objectives you achieve in your life will become significantly different from today on. Yes, you absolutely can make a big difference in your life when you simply amend your thinking so that you see everything in a positive light, feel positive in all situations and only hear the positive in the words of yourself and those around you.
