Only a medical doctor could assess how much damage is done when it comes to your body. Suggestions on how to stop drinking alcohol is something the doctor can give as well. Its either doing it on your own or going to a hospital with medical supervision.

One more great method to give up drinking is to tell trusted individuals that would understand that you are going to stop drinking and you may need their support. If they truly care about you then they will support you.

If you would like to be with people who have gone through what you are going through then the 12 Step Meetings is the place to go to. Looking for 12 Step meetings in your neighborhood would get you started. Different kinds of meetings for different kinds of individuals with various types of problems. If you can not go to ninety meetings in ninety days then just try to attend as many meetings as you could. These meetings would give you all the info you need about how to give up drinking alcohol.
