How To Respond To God's Silence When He Is Reshaping Your Life

By Ann Miller

There are lots of ugly experiences in this world. The challenges people face are not peculiar to a particular race or tribe. Real-life correlates with what the wise man, King Solomon, meant when he said that nothing under the sun is new. Sometimes, God allows these things to come close when he is looking for ways of reshaping your life. No matter how difficult they may be, He has also promised that He will be there. It is easier to notice God even in the midst of these troubles by praying and reading the Bible.

Reading the Bible in difficult times can be achieved in several ways even though this may not be so easy. Devotionals help during this period as the user becomes eager to know how a passage in the Bible ended. The notes from the writer can also bless your life as you strive to be a better person in the midst of the difficulties you face.

If possible, make it a habit. That means having a specific time, day and place to have a quiet time. This will create a more intimate relationship between you and God and you will have the grace to face the challenges until the appointed time when they will be rolled away.

If going to the church early in the morning every day will not alter your activities, then you are encouraged to do so. Apart from the chance to read the Bible there, the priest's prayers for you will help to reshape you. You will start to see positive changes which will remain as long as you continue to be in God's presence.

Apps now make Bible reading easier and more convenient. Instead of searching from Genesis to Revelation for passages that deal on anger, for example, the apps can give it to you instantly. Others keep presenting verses you never knew existed in the Bible. You may also like those that present the verses at a particular time every day.

Sometimes, God brings the passages of the scriptures that are needful for each day's challenges in the devotionals. Failure to take down notes and go through them later in the day may make you forget what God was saying to you earlier and you may not be able to pass the test that you would have easily scaled through if you were more serious with your devotion. This is why you should get some notes with a Bible and devotional during your quiet time.

Emails containing messages, articles, and expositions on the word of God can get you closer to Him. Hence, it is necessary to subscribe for daily posts so long as you will make it a point of duty to check the emails every day. Some of the emails contain newsletters explaining how God recently helped someone overcome a big challenge such as what was recorded concerning Job in the Bible.

Therefore, no matter what you may be passing through this moment, know it that God has not abandoned you. He has prepared the Bible for your victory and wants you to pray to him for help ceaselessly. If you do what pleases him in your times of trials, your life will be reshaped like gold that is purified by passing through fire.
