Like other animals, cattle needs water, healthy food and a very spacious shelter to have them move around. Depending on the kind of place, you have to provide an adequate shelter to help them in resting and spending their entire night well. It can also protect them from storm, rain and the intense heat.

A barn for instance can be favorable when building your own home. If you live in a country where there is snow, it can really be too cold and there is high tendency for them to experience the coldness of snow. Vaccinations and right handling should be done as well to avoid sickness. Keep your attention when they are grazing the pasture or when you feed them. The environment must be clean to get rid of any possible sickness.

You have to make an appointment with the veterinarian in advance to know the possible risk and disease that they will happen in the future. Ask about the symptoms as well as the cure. One indication that will let you know that they are unhealthy is their actions that are not really usual. It could also include their unusual action and their temperature.

You have to give them a healthy diet all the time. Grass is not really enough for the summer and spring. It is needed to include right supplementation and other nutrients because they cannot go out to graze during winter season. The pasture musts be given well and the grass must be in proper condition.

Winter feeding is really costly but it is an important process for them. You can give them hay as their primary diet. A high quality food is indeed necessary especially during winter. Do not feed them with cereal grains with additional nutrients because it can make them fat and not healthy.

Remember and follow these guidelines to ensure that the cattle will be healthy. You have to put them on practice to maintain their good health. Feed them with the needed food everyday. Expose them to sunlight. Avoid making them look fatter than the usual. Everything must be balanced and it is your main task to do it.
