Marvel Action Figures Are Always Very Sought After

By Olivia Cross

Many people of all ages have grown up with a favourite toy, one that will never be forgotten. Whether one is a boy or girl the marvel action figures were always sitting on the shelves in bedrooms. There have even been movies made about these characters that everyone both young and old thoroughly enjoys watching.

Hasbro, the largest toy making company in the world has made many different figures over the years usually more compatible from the ages of three up. Many children love the Hulk as he looks like a green Avenger. He has got strength that is beyond everyone and he destroys evil instead of just fighting it. He is sold for about thirteen dollars.

Anyone that has watched the Captain America television series and motion pictures think he is a true hero. He not only fights for peace he has super strength, agility and he has a truly awesome and unyielding shield. He stands at twelve inches and comes with the famous shield attached. He can be bought at almost any toy store and only costs about ten dollars.

Seventeen years after first opening they produced the first nurse and doctor toy kits as well as modelling clay. Two years later after the first toys reached the shelves they were basically a toy company. When Hillel died, Henry became the Chief Executive Officer and his son Merrill was advanced into becoming the president.

Many collectors will argue that the G. I Joe figures can be classified as action or as a doll, as the first one stood about twelve inches in height and the clothes could be removed and interchanged. It was originally designed so that boys could also have a "doll" to play with. In the end if one wishes to collect any of the above it will all depend on which makes one feel the happiest.

Wolverine is also a super hero with keen animal senses and has healing powers. He has the unique ability to fight off any disease and toxins. Because of his powers he never seems to age and his body is always in good condition He is a member of the Alpha Flight as well as the X-men and the Avengers.

When Henry died in 1960 Merrill took over while his older brother carried on running the pencil making division. It was to become known as the Empire Pencils. One year later they opened up a branch in Canada where they were asked to license a toy base for a television series. They decided that it was in their best interest to turn them down as they did not want to be tied down to something that had a potential to be short lived.

To add to their popularity there are now cups, water bottles as well as watches that are based on each of these super heroes. Boys T-shirts are always a very popular gift to give as well as pyjamas. Nothing is more exciting than being able to go to bed at night knowing that the print on ones top will keep one safe during the night and keep nightmares away.
